Microsoft Responds to Nintendo’s Ripping

Wii60Earlier today we posted about Reggie proverbially bending Microsoft over and spanking away. Now, Microsoft has come back in defense. You would think they would come back strong, but no. It almost seems like they’re just trying to stay afloat with this rebuttal.

In an interview with CVG, a Microsoft representative said:

We’re very happy with how Xbox 360 is performing in Europe. We do not release figures by country, but we are on target to meet our goal of 12 million consoles sold worldwide by the end of June 2007, have sold more than 10.4 million consoles globally as of December 2006, and have built a global Xbox Live community of more than 6 million people.

European gamers love Xbox 360 and we’re looking forward to bringing exciting next-generation experiences like Halo 3, Forza 2, and Mass Effect to the platform in the coming months.

Yeah, that’s a real strong comeback. Have to give them credit for taking the high ground and not starting a flame war between PR teams. Hopefully they can keep up relations, because we all love the Wii60 :)
