Wii Play - Review

Wii LogoLet me start out by saying that Wii Play is a not a bad buy as it comes with a Wii remote and 9 mini games. An extra Wii remote is always good to have and the mini games are cute and kind of help you get a feel for the sensor bar and controller. I’ll just give you an idea of what the 9 games consist of:
Tank - You are a small tank against other tanks and can fire and drop mines, straight forward and not very fun. Only plus is you can use the nunchuk.
Cow Riding - One of my favorites, your Mii races on the back of a cow down a track and collects scarecrows for points. It sounds bizarre, but is fun.
Find Mii - A fun game that equates to a game of Where’s Waldo, but with the Mii’s you have created. Nothing beats trying to find your Hulk Hogan Mii in a crowd.
Shootout - Straight forward shooter, think Duck Hunt with a Wii remote, pretty fun and you can shoot ducks!
Spinning game - This is a weird game that relies on your ability to rotate your Mii in order to match set shapes on the screen, pretty boring and worth skipping.
Pool - It is a game of 9 ball, but kind of odd in that you score points based on the number of the ball you sink. Pretty fun, but the scoring system stinks, they should have just left it as normal 9 ball rules.
Fishing - It is a straight fishing game, not exciting unless your 5 years old.
Ping pong - A pretty horrible version of ping pong, you’ll play it once or twice and feel awkward.
Air hockey - Your basic air hockey game, nothing special.
If you need an extra remote definitely worth it, if not I’d pass. The games are cute, but don’t offer much replay value unless some friends come over.

Overall Rating : 6 out of 10
