Sony and Midway today announced a partnership to bring 6 games to the PlayStation Store for the PS3. The games are:
- Mortal Kombat II
- Gauntlet II Joust
- Rampage World Tour
- Rampart
- Championship Sprint
From the press release:
Each title was specifically chosen because of its multiplayer capability, allowing players to experience each of these classics with their friends in the comfort of their own living room, or anywhere else through an internet connection. All of the titles will be offered for PLAYSTATION 3 system download exclusively through the PLAYSTATION Network.
I’m very excited about this. It seems like CES is nothing but good news for Sony. More games on the PlayStation Store is definitely a good thing. After playing UMK3 on Xbox 360’s Live Arcade, I’m really excited for MK2. I’ve always thought MK2 was a better game, and with the D-pad on the Sixaxis controller being WAY WAY better than the D-pad on the 360 controller, it should make for a better Mortal Kombat experience.
Now if you could play these games on PS3 and be able to transfer to PSP… Sony would make a mint
