Following in Verizon’s footsteps, and hopefully not fucking it up as much, is the Discovery Channel. They’ve decided to give away 2 million Microsoft Points to coincide with the release of the new maps for Gears of War.
The points will be given away January 13th and 14th (although I expect it to only last about 20 minutes when the points are put up) at http://www.readyaimfire.com/. The site is only going to active those two days, so act fast and log on to find out how to get the points.
I’m hoping they have a way to find the first 4000 people to play a ranked match on Gears of War, and email each of them (based on the Passport email on file with their gamertag) a code for free 500 Microsoft points. But that would make sense, and as we’ve seen with the last two points giveaways, anything that makes sense will promptly be discarded.
Some free MS points will hit the spot, since there will be some new Midway content on the way. =)
