I won’t rant on about it. I tried to make some comments in his blog entry, but they haven’t shown in over an hour.
What else can I say but what I have been saying…
- Call center sucks, they make probably more than some gamers calling and know less about the products the gamers are calling about
- QA at MS sucks lately, the gamer is expected to do all the testing
- The prevailing opinion of the call center is that all new products (not technology) are going to have issues, so you should expect problems, not expect working products
- It takes way too long for MS to acknowledge hardware and software issues, and I think this is mainly because they have no communications channel for advanced users to link up to high level support
I took my headset back a few weeks ago. Screw it, and shame on MS for giving the users the mushroom treatment once again.
I’m still having to get my launch 360 repaired that lasted exactly 1 year, all because of the nov. 30th update that they claim (the call center) had nothing to do with it dying. I guess the hundreds of people on the forums are just crazy.
Here are the comments I’ve made:

Write a Comment»That sux, I’m kinda glad I didnt invest in the wioreless headset. ALthough when you think about it a wireless headset is a bit useless as the controller isnt miles from your head.
honestly, I had a lot of use for it… theres a lot of times when I’m cooking in the kitchen and don’t want to haul a controller with me…
Esp if you are in a game where once you die you are in the dead lobby with other dead players.
Easy fix, dont die! =)
Yeah I have dropped my controller going to the kitchen to get stuff.
